I know that Wii can do all sorts of SD videomodes, but can it also do HD? I mean, what driver/systemmenu/whatever defines, what Wii can do? And most important, could this be altered someday to get at least 720p for emulators, or other useful homebrew tools? I don't know if the ATI chip could handle HD output, but I don't think that HD videmodes were stripped out completely.
It will probably never work with commercial stuff, but it would be great for homebrew.
