PS1/2 What type of ribbon cable should I purchase for my PS2 controller ?

You mean the circuit board of the controller? I don't think there was any major differences in the pcb, though there's a few revisions of the PS2 controller, i think they should be the same.. As for if it's a PS1 controller (DS), that would explain if there was 2 revisions for the pcb, one for PS1 and the 2nd for PS2 i think, but don't quote me on that.

I can't tell for sure, if one is serial number for PS1DualShocks and the other is for the PS2 DS revision, though i think if it's has the same pins it should work. You can also check what model yours has, and get one with the same serial number.
