Heya. I just recently figured out that the copy of Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman I have is a counterfeit.

I heard that these counterfeits are ROMs written to flash carts, so I was wondering how I could find out what type of cart it is. I've tried to utilize the cart with GBA_Backup_Tool_021 and I was able to successfully dump the ROM. Using GBA_Exploader, the cart is not recognized, but immediately afterwards it acts as if there is a "New3in1" onto which I might be able to write a ROM. I haven't tried it because I don't know to where it'll write. The same message appears when I don't insert anything into slot 2. By the way, I'm using a Supercard DSTwo. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use this whatever it is in conjunction with the NDS Backup tool, but I'd also just like to try and screw around with it if I can. Anyone know what it is and what I can do with it?

Well, a lot of counterfeits look like 3in1s, but may be structurally different enough that the two are not interchangeable. If you want to try writing a ROM to it, go ahead, but I can't guarantee something will end up messed up beyond all reason or not.
