Well...what do you like?

For example, I like old school games like Mario, Zelda and the like. So I have pretty much every game availiable from those franchises. Also, Metroid and Super Metroid is worth a look as well if you've never experienced those before.

Haha, it is pretty poor, isn't it? Well let me give you my favorites:

Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels (600 points)
- More Super Mario Bros! It's tough, but you can play as Luigi, so that's great!
Gunstar Heroes (800 points)
- Guns, upgraded guns, combo guns, explosions! Shmup at its best!
Punch-Out!! (500 points)
- Classic, just great!
Super Mario World (800 points)
- Another Mario game! Long, a little tough, and plenty of alternate routes. Classic Controller required!
Baseball Stars 2 (900 points)
- Really fun and colorful. Very arcady, but not so much worth 900 points if you're playing alone.

I'd recommend Metroid & Punch-Out. They were always my two favorites on my old NES.

I don't recommend Ghosts & Goblins, unless you like extremely difficult side-scrollers where you die often.

No, you're not limited just to NES games. Gunstar Heroes (and I assume plenty of Genesis games) are perfectly playable with the Wii remote. Actually, on my list, the only game that isn't playable with the Wii remote is Super Mario World. So the other four suggestions still stand.

Waiting to spend 800pts on Ys Book 1 and 2, getting pissed off exponentially by the each week it doesn't appear seeing that it was cleared long ago by the ESRB and keeps sitting in limbo as more come to the ESRB and go into sales.

I recommend buying an N64 title such as Legend of Zelda or Pokemon Snap.
Both very fun games, and I'm sure you've played/heard about them before.

The game(s) you are speaking of was released on the TCD:
Ys Book I & II Hudson 1989 US

They were released for Wii Virtual Console in Japan:
I noticed on gamefaqs: Ys I + II Falcom 10/16/07 JP

I also noted this in Gamefaqs, for the DS it's coming both Ys DS and Ys 2 DS by Interchannel-Holon the same date.
Ys 2 DS Interchannel-Holon 02/28/08 JP
Ys DS Interchannel-Holon 02/28/08 JP

Yes I know what game I'm talking about as up until maybe a year ago I had the CD but Magic Engine was just too sucky and painful to use so I got rid of it long after the Duo went for sale years ago.

I did notice searching on Ys yesterday due to the fact I have the Master System copy in the mail about those DS games by finding them on a Japanese website with a few screen caps and it looks simply gorgeous.

I'd be very willing to buy these if someone wouldn't be such a dick as usual in the US market and ignores it. I really don't want to struggle trying to splice together my rusty Japanese abilities to do that mess as kanji I barely took up before it was over.
