One day i may consider getting the PS2, but the PSP won't be getting much more games once the PSP2 comes out so i will give the PSP a pass.
Just because it's not the here and now doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it. It has great games period, I wouldn't say it matters if there's not many more great ones coming out for it (but there's still Lord of Arcana, God Eater, The Third Birthday, etc to look forward to). If it already has great ones (which it does), then it's a system worth buying.
My friend with the PSP never plays his PSP and doesn't have wi-fi.
I'd prefer getting the PS3 anyway cause my 3 best buds have it and go online alot, so it will be fun playing with them.
The only games that are intersting to play on the PSP to me is Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet and the Media stuff sounds great.
But PS3 would be a better option so i could play Call of Duty, bigger library of ratchet and clank and even more media stuff.
Call of Duty doesn't interest me on a handheld, though i had some good fun on Black Ops DS.
One day the PSP will be extrememly cheap pre-owned so i might get it then, it's also good cause i don't have to pay for games xD
I got my PSP 1000 pre-owned for $125 on Amazon with a nice charger cable (well charger/USB hookup cable) and a 2GB memory stick.
And it's much more of a single player system anyway, not a lot of worthy multiplayer games. None of my friends own a PSP but I still love mine to death.
