Recently, Rei-Six and Luma have the ability to load those firm files from the SD. Whats the point in doing so? If not installed on the SD, will luma an Rei-Six load the Emunand with the Sysnand firmware? Or will they load it off the Emunand/Rednand? What will the advantage be?

If you're messing with custom patches for those firms, then it's useful to not have to change them on sysnand and just load them from the SD.

No, it would load them from emu/rednand.
What will the advantage be?
Instead of putting the patched firms on the SD and then moving them to sysnand manually, it's just drag & drop.
