Hello.
I have a modded N2DSx wih Luma, GM9, B9S, and on 11.9-USA.
I got a little bored with homebrew, and i'm not a big fan on emulating games.
Is there anything else i can do with homebrew? :yay3ds:
It is also softmodded, so i do not have any USB ports on it.
Also, is there a way to tinker the memory of a 2DS using an extra charging cord? (By taking a MSD reader and soldering it to the charger head?)
Thank you :)
I also use this for fun, and just to tinker with it as much as i can.

else? . . . you never mentioned what you currently use it for (unless you only know of emulation in which case yes there is a lot your 3ds can do)

Im fine with emulation, i just don't prefer it.
Plus if thats the case, i wont even try to take apart the cable :)

still you only mention emulation . . . you can also watch (3d)movies (ok you have a 2ds but the movie in question does not need to be 3d)
you can cheat in games via ntr (dont try this online)
although there are not many there are homebrew games (no piracy needed)
you can use custom themes and/or badges . . . (i find it satisfying and fun to make my own +it gives my system menu a unique look

edit: oh and no there is no way a 3ds can possibly emulate a gamecube (period) . . . you can however emulate ps1 (horribly mind you)

You say you don't like emulating because it is piracy then two seconds later ask if the 3ds can play gamecube games lol that's one hell of a massive contradiction.

And no! An about 800MHz ARM11 CPU is no able to emulate a 486MHz PowerPC (complete different architecture).
The computer power maybe comparable and it is possible to make games on similar technical level, but you can’t just take existing GameCube software and expect the 3DS to be able to emulate this. And even if it was somehow possible (it’s not) to magically run GameCube titles at decent speed, how should a 400*240 screen display the 640*528 pixels (given as native resolution in Dolphin)?
Getting Luigi’s Mansion to run on the 3DS required a complete remake.

For science, you should turn on SpotPass. In your Friend's List, set your favorite app as freeShop and then write the message, "Ban me Nintendo." Time yourself how long the n2DSXL can play in online games before Nintendo pulls the plug. I'm curious what's Big-N's ban hammer reaction time these days when provoked. :tpi:

Edit - I assume anyone reading this does not actually try this. 'Tis a silly thought experiment that need not be answered.

Well thanks. And I get why, and yes, the screen is way to tiny.

even at "uncensored" home releases they still show no nipples with few, rare exceptions
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
It makes it seem cool, that's why smoking

comercials were banned here in the 90s.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
even ecchi manga dont show nipples nowadays
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I'm reading several that do atm. x'D
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
even it looks cool, i still hate smoking and i always hated smoking
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    They're seinen though.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
But yeah, it also has to do with the fact that stuff are more sexualised

    now
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
even at seinen i am reading, the only one that shows nipples sometimes is Oversized Sextet
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Like, Urusei Yatsura, I love the manga and the original anime.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
In the original rumiko takahashi works, nudity was common
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
i still havent read the manga. also surprisinly i like both the new and the old anime adaption.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Lum being topless and Ranma always topless when turning female wasn't sexual
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
also the old anime adaption of Urusei Yatsura had more fanservice than the manga
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
That's one of the issues I have with ecchi stuff recently, it focuses too much on the sexual aspect, not the comedy effect.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
The manga had it's fair share.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I mean, Lum was supposed to be a one time character
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
ecchi anime focusing too much at fanservice was always a thing
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Rumiko Takahashi got so much fan email about the character that she brought her back in the manga, it was going to be completely different originally (with the alien of the week type).
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
also i m a takahashi fan and i love ranma
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
There are different ways of fanservice
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
the first manga I bought, was Psychic Academy, when I was like 12?
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    That was good 2000s ecchi
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Great plot too
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
yikes. psychic academy. it was trash even back then when i bought volume 1. also same author also made one of the manga adaptions of Escaflowne.
