    So here's my deal,

I have a US launch wii with a V1 wiikey on 1.92US firmware and Nintendo firmware v.3.4U. I have not had any problems with my system, I have the occasional disc read error but it is usually fixed with a simple reboot or cleaning of the disc.

I am looking around though, and the scene has been completely changed on what people are doing with their modded wiis! I have been away for about a year, and am a bit lost... almost noobish.

What should be my 'step1' to get back in the scene. I guess I should get a copy of the homebrew channel first and get it running, but what beyond that is the 'cool new thing' people are doing to their wiis?

Well the ultimate new cool thing is the HDD Iso loader of course. Put your games on an USB portable hard drive and run them!

What you shouldn't do: update your wii to 4.0 without installing the new CIOS and Homebrew Channel.

Look around the forums for tutorials and stuff. You're gonna need it because of how long you were gone.
