OK so i got an EB games coupon for a brand new DSi XL at 99.99$ so i couldnt resist and got one so my GF will inherit my regular DSi :P

Now, what screen protector should i use for the bottom screen? I want something good quality but not necessarily the most expansive one.

Now is the brand really important because I have found a few interesting deals on ebay...anything i should avoid?

Are they the right size? coz ive heard some protector needs to be cut to be a perfect fit which is kind of a pita lol

And removing them (for replacement when damaged) isnt to hard from what i read you use tape and them clean the glue residue i presume?

Lets hope shipping wont be too expensive for Canada :P

Well I think they are probably chinese clones as no real hori protectors are this cheap . This chinese protectors quality can range from similar to original to horrible & unusable .

So just check there reviews & see for yourself if its worth saving the few extra dollars or no .

Hey, forgot to keep you guys updated, i went with the one on amazon.

The only thing that bugs me is that the bottom screen protector seems a bit too small. I though it would be exact fit but it has a 1 or 2 millimeter space all around if you center it and it gets worst if you line it on a corner as the 2 opposite side gets wider exposure...

Now i managed to place it centered enough so that the pen can fit in the space so its all good an u can barely see its not perfect fit most of the time.

Now is that normal that they have some leeway or i just got unlucky and mine wasnt perfect fit? The top screen seemed fine although its different then the bottom/touch screen.

I think it's supposed to be like that; incidentally, mine is too. The top screen doesn't have a raised border around it, so they can make it even overly large without having to worry. Screen protectors that take up the entire bottom screen can be a huge hassle to get off, and it's definitely not easy putting them on right. I prefer a touch screen protector that's a tad bit small.

Yeah the bottom screen is more of a pita to install but i wouldve wished it was a tad bigger so i can start from a corner and just put it down but if i did that the gap would've been too wide on the other side so i found it much harder to try to center it lol

Anyways, had to take it off a few time cos somehow some dust molecule kept getting under lol. Now its all good and the stuff they use seems to be much more scratch resistant than the normal DS screen and slides just as good.

Still happy with the purchase, just wanted to make sure it was the way it was suppose to be.

Thx
