What manufacture date should I look for? I know the update was in August, but not sure if consoles that has an older manufacture date than that will have the unwanted kernel. The specific one I'm looking at is made 6/19/09.

If you can find a 60GB model/bundle it's good to go as they stopped them a while ago.
Oh and it has to have never been online or booted a wave 4 game (just in case you didn't know).

It hasn't been booted because it's New In Box, meaning never been taken out of the box. I'll try to get info on the HDD and Bundle of the box, I forgot to check that. Thug, so if it's a June model but 60gb I'm 100% safe? I kind of got two different and opposite answers (I think). If not, before June means May and onwards? not sure if you said June because I said June or you meant it technically

    ***UPDATE***
    It's a 60GB Pro system with June 10, 2009 not 19

So if i get a 60gb made before June 2009 im ok to put homebrew on it is that correct?
Will it give me the manuf date on the box or the console itself?
I would love to put xexloader on it but i think i need to do that by having a xbox transfer cable is that right?

    Cheers

It's not the manufacture date that counts but the kernel version. However, my question was asking, if the xbox360 is sealed in a box and has a manufacture date of June 10 2009, what will the OS / Kernel on that be. Manufacture date can be found on the back of the console, there's a window if you're looking at it from a box. You dont' need xbox transfer cables, you can use USB HDD, at least as far as Im'm told

It doesn't have to have never been online, it just has to have never been online since the update that wiped out the jtag stuff.
