What MicroSD card are best for R4 DS
the best one is the 1GB Kingston Japan
thought so thx
Kingston just doesn't freeze on Castlevania. That's one difference.
I really wish people would search. I feel I, alone, have answered this question dozens of times.
Anyways, the best on the market for R4 are the Kingston Japanese made 1GB cards.
what would happen if I use a cheaper american one? would it affect the DS download play?
Nope, it won't one bit.
The Download Play compatibility is completely dependent on the Flashcart.
The only thing the type of microSD affects is the read/write speed and compatibility for more taxing games like CastlevaniaoR.
And Tony Hawk's: Downhill Jam
No MicroSD really plays that game perfectly. If you get a good one, it would speed it up.
THAT was the other one! I knew there was one more messed up game, but I couldn't remember which one. Do carts with internal NAND memory play Downhill Jam well?
It probably already has been answered also, but seeing as this thread is up...why particularly 1gb cards made by kingston? whats wrong with the 2gb ones they make?
I was just about to ask that exact same question. I have the 2 gb version and I have not had an issue with it. The only thing I can think of is it would become more fragmented but that is an easy fix... defrag it.
2gb cards traditionally have slower access times. Not sure if this is still the case.
i've been using a kingston 2GB and its worked fine for every game.
Toshiba SD-C01G or Toshiba SD-C02G.
See what I did there?
but does it matter were the kingston card comes from?? (country)
yes the japanese ones are the good one.
That's the cheapest price I've seen for a 2gb card manufactured in Japan. It only a couple bucks more than a 1gb kingston!
Any Kingston one works perfect.
Kingston 1GB Japan for better compatibility and i think it´s faster!
