Hacking What kind of save does the R4 use?

Since my R4 is dead, I'm going to use a emulator til I get a new one, I am just wondering what kind of savetype the R4 uses so I can transfer my games to the R4 without starting over again.

It uses .sav

More specificly, the R4 uses raw 512kb .sav files. I believe the DSTT and a few other carts use it as well.
