Hacking What kind of R4 do I have?

I can't find the name of it anywhere on the internet. Wondering if anyone can help me and answer my questions.

1. Is it a clone?
2. Is it legit?
3. Where can i download the firmware for it?
4. Can I use it for my DSi?

have a look at the card, through the website on it you can download the firmware.

I've tried every single firmware and all of them give me the same "an error has occured" error on my DSi.

From what i can see on their website, that cart only works up to dsi 1.44 firmware. http://www.r4i-dshc.com/download.asp If your dsi is on that firmware or lower, you need a ds phat/ds lite or another dsi with low firmware to upgrade the cart.

Oh, damn, I feel like an idiot. I thought my ds cartridge said "r4i-sdhc". *facepalm*

Simply placing firmware files on the MicroSD doesn't update it.

In addition it's likely your specific model doesn't have updates anymore if you've had it for a while.
