, I think I'm going to love those one.

Question to every one, On what the game base itself to
determine witch stat your char will have ?, The job level or
the Character level ?

Thanks for your info !

it's a mixture of job/exp level that determine your character stats, for example my level 99 thief with level 36 character (current) won't do as well versus a level 99 theif with level 99 character.

I was having difficulty until I discovered how MP works. I changed my guys into:

By the way, white mages can indeed use aero, or if you equip them with a staff (or two), go to your items screen in battle, scroll all the way to the top and press up once more and it'll let you use the spells from your staffs, and it doesn't even waste MP

Thanks for that tip, it works with swords as well.

I'll have a look for the option of "All party members" when using toad or mini next time i have to as i couldn't find it last time!

Great game, shame they never used the top screen but still a great game.

When and where can you exactly start setting characters to jobs? I've received the message that I can do so already, I just don't know where and how...

*giggles* sorry to laugh at you.

X meant the button X on your DS, or you can press the L button as well.

on a side note: whats the best way to level up your job levels?
Thanks for the clarification *feels like a n00b* >_<

I level up Job Levels alongside with regular Levels, just a little slower sometimes. Random battles. Fight the common enemies around you that are the hardest, over and over again.

I have never found any need for leveling up my characters for a particular dungeon. It usually goes well either way. If I'm in a trap I just teleport out (you can't do that from the wandering vegetable).

Currently my jobs are as follow:
Dark Knight
Ranger
White Mage
Black Mage

Found a really nice bow for the ranger

There isn't a single shop in the entire game that sells phoenix downs im afraid

Revive is found alot later in the game and the last res. spell is found towards the end.

Phoenix downs seem to be everywhere for me (check in pots and hidden sections), so much so I have been using the if I am too lazy to fight or flee generic undead enemies (a strategy I may regret later).

As for my spoilered comment earlier I should have played on for a few more minutes and I would have seen.

yes, the first few battles your stats will go down so that you can "adjust" to the job.
