NO. No, this is what I, as a VR enthusiast, have come to accept, listeners: every big mainstream success in the last two decades of video games has been about making them more casual or more social, and VR is the antithesis to both. You can't craftily alt-tab into it when you're supposed to be working (unless you've got pathologically unobservant supervisors), and you can't do it while hanging out with friends (unless you really want them to leave, and they missed all the other hints you dropped).

It's great :3

It can be a whole bunch of things-
VR murder is legal
You'll find people who have the same interests as you
You can work your arms till they just stop functioning
Or just hang out with friends

(HD version is still processing)


Or you can try experimental stuff!

(To be fair- OOT is 20FPS. VR is 90. This was a horrible idea and I'm never going back even though I love OOT)

Endless possibilities really
Only problem is there's no VR software advertising so no one knows any games exist
All you really get is the overabundance of those shitty Quest 2 ads everywhere
Like uh... when was the last time you heard of Blade and Sorcery?
Everyone knows about Beat Saber- but I mean... since that's the only game people share, it's the only game in VR arcade sections- which creates even more people who only know Beat Saber exists

i first heard of beat saber when i went to a korean vr arcade it was really cool

I'd rather sit in a theater an wear an Oculus/ VR over bullshit 3d glasses

A VR movie would sound interesting, you cant get the same stereoscopic effect using glasses, having two hd LCD displays for "eyes" is about as close one can get,

Then you have AR, augmented reality not assault rifles, which is the ar cards for 3ds,

Virtual online public theaters- one for each supported TV channel. Custom ones that play specific things 24/7. And you can have your own private rooms where you can invite friends and watch whatever you please :3
