What is this folder and is it important?

    It has been a while since I loaded up some files on a 1gb SD card and went off on my merry way to load USB loaders and Wads but now is the time for me to start buying a bigger sized hard drive so I can split it into 2 parititions, one for ISOs and one for all the apps and wads. While I was sorting out my SD card, I found a folder called "00000001" and inside are folders called 0000003c, 00000025, 00000026 and inside those folders are even more files. I'm sure they were leftovers from when I had to install IOS but my question is, do I still have to leave those folders and files alone or is it okay to delete them?

    I'm curious about this myself. I pulled it off and backed it up onto my 'puter, and nothing seems to have changed. Everything works fine... but i'm not sure of it's purpose.

    hey, its a backup of of your Wii Ios setting ( which are still on the wii ) , if i remember correctly, something like that. Its fine to delete it, affects nothing. It can be created when you do certain things, just delete it, it effects nothing and changes nothing

    It's usually created by an Installer or a Dumper, for example Hermes cIOS Installer. It contains the .app-Files from Nintys Server, and maybe other files. The main purpose is that you don't have to download them again if you want to install another cIOS.

    So you can delete them if you want.

    Sounds like maybe the folders for an offline install of Hermes IOS.

    Especially since 25 and 26 (in hex) are 37 and 38 in decimal.

    Yeah those are just some unpacked titles from your wii
    00000001 means that it are system titles (System menu/IOS/..)

    They're used/created by some apps, but aren't generally needed for anything
    So you can remove the 00000001 folder if you want to

    apps that use patchmii leave those folders as souvenirs. they save the data they get from NUS to the SD card. then next time you use the app and request the same files, it will get them from the SD card, making the process go much faster.
