Hacking What is the size of emunand?

On partition magic it is telling me my emunand is only 1.21 GB but I keep hearing people say that emunand weighs 2gbs? Could someone be kind enough to share some insight?

since emunand is a copy of sysnand it depends on what nand is in your 3ds. IIRC toshiba nand is 2GB and samsung nand is 1.3GB for N3DS

Samsung KLM4G1YEQC 4GB (in 1.3GiB SLC mode)
Toshiba THGBMBG4P1KBAIT 2GB (MLC)

on my o3dsxl my emunand is 1GB or so and my n3dsxl is near 2GB

For o3ds, it's 943 mb iirc,
For n3ds, depending on the chip you have, it's either 1.8 gb or 1.2 gb.

+ Samsung NAND:
1.300.234.240 bytes = 1.21GB

Old 3DS:
+ Toshiba NAND:
988.807.168 bytes = 943 MB
+ Samsung NAND:
1.000.341.504 bytes = 954 MB

New 3DS:

That answers that, I followed the tuto to copy my emunand onto my sysnand alls is well, A9LH is better than I could have hoped for!
