Hacking What is the .sav file used for with EZ Pass 2?

Just wondering if I will need the .sav file with my DS Lite. Is it so that I can save DS games or something? Also, will Nanostray work after I flash my DS with it?

The .sav file is a key component in getting the passme2 device to work: it is what is run after the passme2 device exploits the buffer overflow in the the DS' BIOS.

Yes nanostray will work fine, the passme2's still need an official game to help circumvent the authentication mechanisms and that is what it is there for.

Make sure you use the EZTeams .sav and .jed files as they use a different type of CPLD to other passme makers.
