Just so I know. I was playing a hack called Super Mario RPG Armageddon on the Wii Retroarch on vWii when the console simply turned itself off and wouldn't turn on. Took it out of the outlet a few times, waited a while, nothing worked. I later removed the HDMI cable which is connected to a converter which manages to plug it in my CRT, but still no dice. A few minutes later, however, as I was showing my brother the system was dead, it finally powered on.
I attached a video showcasing what was happening before. I believe it was, in all honesty, the HDMI converter, as it needed power to work and was pushing it through the Wii U via the HDMI cable.
But just to be sure... is there any probability at all that the romhack I was playing caused this behaviour? Or was it all just a coincidence? I use my Wii U a lot for retro stuff and homebrew so I'd rather just ask it.
