    Hi All,

I have just bought a wii and before i open it was wondering what is the latest wii firmware?
It it 4.3 as if so im safe to hack and add homebrew channel.
Would i be best to use modmii for windows to hack?
Also when i hack it i beleive i can add multi region for backups + originals but cant remember what i used on my older wii can someone help me with this please?
After hacking it will backup Gamecube games load?
I would also like to add the neogamma channel but i beleive i need to install that via a wad file using wad manager 1.4 is the latest i think?
I also believe i can block updates using an application.
    Sorry for so many questions.
Hoping i have not missed anything.

    Thanks In Advance

    Again, use Priiloader with hacks.

That is correct. However, if it is 4.3, you will require one of a list of games needed to install the Homebrew Channel. You only need one of these games, and you only need it until you have the Homebrew Channel installed. They are:

    - Super Smash Brothers Brawl, All Wii's.
    - Yu-Gi-OH 5D's Wheelie Breakers, All Wii's.
    - Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, All Wii's.
    - LEGO Batman, All Wii's.
    - LEGO Star Wars, US/Europe Wii's ONLY.
    - Lego Indiana Jones, US/Europe Wii's ONLY.

Also, if this is a new Wii, which you have implied, then USB loading will be your only option for playing backups. Also, GameCube backups will be impossible.

Damm as my daughter has a Gamecube with backups and was hoping to get rid of Gamecube and replace with Wii but seeing the Gamecube backups wont work im screwed.

Look for a second hand Wii with a drive capable of playing back ups. New Wii's suck!

Just play the retail discs (which I know you have, since you wouldn't teach your daughter to break the law).
