Well, maybe 15 years ago, it's been so long, I'll correct that.
Dialup was amazingly awful. I remember downloading a pack of activation hack files for Windows XP from eMule over dialup. It was about 80mb in size and there was only one person sharing it. I was so desperate to get it that I even sent the person hosting it a PM begging them to stay online til I was done :rofl2: I don't know if he got it, read it, or cared, but I got the file and it worked ^_^

We had a time where we didn't have internet, then in 2003 we got it again, it was People PC, which was so slow, then my parents heard about Comcast and we got that, holy crap the difference was massive, and over time, Comcast got faster and faster. Now we have a 40 megabit or so connection :P ^_^

We previously had a 40Mbps connection, but our ISP apparently did some upgrades so we have 100Mbps internet now. Unfortunately, our upload speed is still absurdly slow, but I don't upload too often.

Also looking at people's replies, it really irks me when people use MB/s (Megabytes per second) and Mb/s (Megabits per second) interchangeably. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! 8 Mb/s == 1 MB/s. Your ISP will always give you the stats in Mb/s.

I just paste a Speedtest result and call it a day. :D

500 kilobits per second if I'm lucky, otherwise I've got no Internet. And it is Telmex's Fiber optic service.

The Greek dub of Toy Story's You've got a friend in me is still a classic even among boomers who've never watched the movie, mostly because it was sung by a famous beloved Greek singer

Also his choice was quite interesting since his songs are anything but family-friendly
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
If anything, some of his songs were so controversial that he got troubles with the law regarding "blasphemy laws" in Greece.
