I like 2d fighters the best, just got KoF 94 and its just one of the best games.
for me its RPG and Point and click Adventure
Adventure RPGs are the best genre on the DS. The functionality of the second screen lends itself to this type of game best. Puzzle games are probably the second strongest genre on the DS. If you list the best games ever on the DS, imo, the top 4-5 are all either puzzle or adventure RPGs like ZeldaH, TWEWY, Prof. Layton, Final Fantasy CC:RoF, Dragon Quest MJ, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, etc.
RPG and RTS (like Starcraft).
Whats with all the DS talk? Did you take a wrong turn somewhere?
Anyway at the moment Boom Blox (what category does that go under?) and Okami have my attention. Cant say I have a favourite type as its mood dependent.
Why is that the best type, i dont like rts a lot of the time, all the micro small things you have to do.
I don't have a favorite really. Some days I really want to jump into some epic RPG and spend the next week doing nothing but playing that game. Other days I want something I can jump right into and enjoy for a good 30 minutes (shmups are the best for that).
EDIT: Right now I'm absolutely hooked on My Life as a King. And I just got Boom Blox which is also a blast, and I finally started really playing Zak and Wiki. I've also had a real hankering to play Majora's Mask.
Nice, 4 topics consecutively?! (That's how it looks right now)
I would say Action-Adventure RPG fighter simulator.
But then again that's still an RPG, so I selected RPG.
FPS, is second.
RPG. It's just fun to play.
What ever game has the elements that I consider essential in a good and enjoyable game and is fun to play.
Why? Because I think its fun, enjoyable and worth my time.
Chrono Trigger is the best Action RPG that has ever hit the earth.
!Define Action RPG
Your Results:Chrono Trigger.
So Action RPG is the best genre in my opinion.
i have to say i have been playing a lot of rpgs, and i am having a lot of fun
My absolute favorite would have to be Fighters. I just love fighting games.
Second would be RPG. I prefer turn-based RPGs, but I do like all types.
I like games with a large, epic story and andventure
Like Zelda, Metroid, Okami
RTS because it isn't a game of who plays the longest.
RTS is easy to learn, you can learn in less then an hour.
But hard to master, especially the different strategies and in 2v2 + matches, teamwork, such as flanks, spys, ambush, expansion, placeement of buildings, and unit formations.
And most of all, micro
I've got to say RPG, especially in an RTS like Warcraft 3.
That's just so much fun
