I've heard about certain DVD-Rom Drive being able to read Wii/GC disc, is it true? If so, which one should I get?

Thanks a bunch.

It's easier to get an SD gecko and dump them that way.

However, compatible drives are:

*LG-H10NBLK SATA (Also a DVD burner)

All these only read DVDs:

* LG-8164
* LG-8163b
* LG-8162b
* LG-8161b

question, if wii games are 4gb+ how can they fit on a SD card? are they compressed while dumped or something? i know 4 gig cards are out but they cant hold a true 4 gigs any way. i supose a better qustion is, how big of an SD card do you need?

They split the files into chunks that fit on your SD card. Then, you transfer them to your PC and use HJSplit to join the chunks together.
Not that hard at all. And considering those drives are selling for about $70US+, the 2GB SD card & Gecko Memory Card is much cheaper option.

You can also combine them right in the command line using a pretty ancient command (copy /b). I suggest the Gecko adapter. I have one and it's fantastic. Dumps a Wii game in just under an hour.

Only cost me $7 too.
