The fact that it can take advantage of DSi mode.

Unless you need DSi compatibility, you might as well get another Acekard.

Nothing its horrible. No support, barely works. On DSi Mode only around like 75% of the games I had worked. Games like GTA Chinatown didn't work on the Cyclo when it was on DSi Mode. And when it wasn't on DSi mode it randomly froze in the middle of gameplay. Pokemon Black/White didn't work for me on DS mode it froze whenever I went and moved my Pokemon in my PC. Don't buy it.
    Doesn't even get supported anymore.

Does it have anything like savestates or fast forward/rewind/slowmotion?

Also, while I'm posting, would there be any problems with using it on the 3DS instead of DS Lite? Would it kill the battery super fast? I never tried using the Acekard on 3DS since I got it when it was new and was worried over breaking something

Edit - Also, what's DSi mode? Either way I have either a 3DS or DS Lite to work with, so not sure if it applies to me

You can't even use the CycloDSi on the 3DS if you updated to the latest firmware on the 3DS.

This. Acekard is pretty much the best on the market. (I would have give given that to the DSTwo, but the Supercard team hasn't done shit to improve their card)

Well it can be one of two things
A: It allows roms that have added features for the DSi to be used on a DSi or 3DS. For example, some games take advantage of the DSi's Camera, and thus when you turn them on they launch in DSi mode and will be able to be used with the flashcart. Can't say many notable games use it.

B: Some Homebrew take advantage of the added memory in the DSi, and thus they run in DSi mode and usually run better. That said, there aren't that many that run in DSi-mode

    Hm...okay then :3

One more question, what's the fastest place to get one in Canada? I don't want to wait long for shipping, had some experiences with dealextreme before

You sure you want another one instead of exploring other options?

I agree with machomuu. Go for something better!
Go for a Supercard! It's about double the money but it's alot better.

Plus you may find your AK2i in the future.

the ievo is an excellent ds mode flash kit for a ds phat, ds lite, or non-updated dsi/3ds. it does have homebrew compatibility issues, as in some major projects fail to function. the dsi-mode features lack updates and support. most dsi-mode roms have not been properly dumped, so they won't work. the dsi-mode compatibility layer is somewhat of a joke, it barely functions as described. however, homebrew compiled with the latest libnds updates are showing promise. dsi-mode homebrew is enjoyable, benefits from the faster cpu, but has suffered from a slow start.

so if you want a pretty good ds-mode flash kit, with some extras, and exclusive dsi-mode homebrew, then grab an ievo.

if you just want a continually updated, solid, tested menu system with exceptionally high rom and homebrew compatibility then grab an acekard and use akaio.

Chrona, you asked a lot of questions answered in the ievo review. you might want to give it a read at some point.
