    There were a couple of Japanese games (I think minna no soft did a few), a few ports as part of older collections (bundled with centipede and warlord) and there was a really nice homebrew one (actually several)

    If you are searching these games tend to be known as breakout clones or Arkanoid clones.

    You can emulate "Arkanoid - Doh it Again" with SNEmulDS, which I've found to be pretty good. You just have to mess with the background layers a tiny bit in order to see everything properly.

    There's no real name for the genre, the original was named Breakout indeed though.

    Thanks for those links, I'm gonna try them out, but I've already played and enjoyed Arkanoid DS too :3
