GCN What is needed for gamecube homebrew?

homebrew as in a snes emu, do i need to get a modchip and the sd card thing, or just the sd? any sites with more info would be appreciated

Easiest way is to get a Datel Media Launcher.
Slightly harder is to get an action replay and an SD Gecko (or similar) and manually put in the code for SDLoad.

Neither way requires a modded system.
You can mod your console and use a disc based SDLoad for launching homebrew from an SD Gecko.
