Hi guys,

My name is Greg but I go by the alias Bingus, feel free to call me whatever you would like.

I enjoy emulation and game preservation, I collect games and find game history very interesting. I mostly collect childhood nostalgia pieces. One of my favourite pieces in my collection is a PAL copy of super adventure island for the SNES because I could not find a copy and my girlfriend found one and gifted it to me for Christmas.

Outside of gaming I enjoy cycling and work at a print house. I am also a huge fan of wrestling and I’m absolutely loving the triple H era of WWE.

I’m also involved in my local FGC I mostly play tekken 8 and street fighter 6 but I’m honestly down to play anything. I was first introduced to the FGC through the super smash bros documentary on YouTube and began playing Melee travelling around Australia trying to find other players only to find out that my local FGC had a pretty active scene of not only melee but other games lol. I would later have a group of friends introduce me to tekken and I finally made my move to trad fighters.

I’m currently playing Breathe of fire on GBA and Bully on PS2.

Currently on a massive game boy kick! Give me your recommendations

Also if you have never played sheep, dog, wolf for PS1 I highly recommend it!

Gameboy recommendations?

Zoo is a great puzzle game.
Tetris Advance is Japanese only, but with emulation you can enjoy one of the best versions of Tetris.
Dr Mario & Puzzle League is worth it just by Puzzle League.
Eggmania is good too.
UNO Freefall is entertaining too.

Gunstar Heroes beats Contra Advance.
Scurge Hive is a great action game too.

Super Ghoul's'n'Ghosts Advance is nearly as good as SNES.
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is pocket Symphony of the Night and it's in my top 5 GBA games.
Metroid Fusion easily best GBA game.
I'd say Mario Advance, Mario Kart, Kirby, Zelda but that's like, logical, so I'll say Mario Pinball Land and Mario vs Donkey Kong instead.

Pokemon Emerald over Sapphire/Ruby/Leafgreen/Firered.
Final Fantasy Advance VI over any other classic RPG in the system.
Megaman Battle Network is great if you like games that requires strategy and quick reflexes. Avoid 1st you won't miss much, start with 2, praise 3, skip 4, just for continuity play 5 and 6.

SSX3 is very ambitious considering the GBA limitations.
Medal of Honor Infiltrator is good too.
KOF EX2 Howling Blood has some sick combos. Takuma, Choi and Athena are crazy when combined together. Specifically with Choi as Striker.

Pacman Collection is worth it just because it has Pacman Arrangement.
Konami Crazy Racers beats Mario Kart in my opinion. It's not just a Mario Kart clone, but does it better.
Rhythm Heaven Silver, or best known as Rhythm Tengoku is amazing.

Those are my GBA recommendations.

Hello and welcome to GBATemp!
I am also a huge fan of wrestling and I’m absolutely loving the triple H era of WWE.
You talking about the current era or the "Helmsley era" back in the early 2000's? Big fan of the latter, current wrestling doesn't interest me..

I like Tekken more than SF, i like KoF too (mainly the old ones, i haven't played the recent one). With Tekken i find the gameplay simplistic and easy to grasp & pull off, unlike the other two, also surprisingly deep, and there's almost some rhythm quality about it as it's most of the time about timing and not just spamming attacks..

The 360 version of Bully very good, if you have a 360 it's worth checking out.
Also if you have never played sheep, dog, wolf for PS1 I highly recommend it!
Never heard of it.. It's not some weird Australian exclusive, is it?

Hell yeah, thanks so much for the recommendations. I’ve been mostly playing on Anbernic RG35XX so I’m keen to check out Tetris advanced! Love me some Tetris! UNO free fall also sounds right up my alley. I have megaman battle network on my list to play and I’m glad you told me to skip the first lol I was just gonna play them in order. What a great write up you are a legend.

I’m playing Bully on a PS2 emulator on xbox series x if that counts :rofl2:. Sheep, Dog n Wolf was the PAL release I believe it is called Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider for NTSC release. Definitely worth checking out such a unique puzzle game!

As for wrestling I’m talking about the current triple H era, wrestlemania and summer slam this year have been so much fun and raw this last week has gone crazy!

I definitely love the rhythm of tekken as well, due to the simplicity of the controls anyone can pick it up and mash so it’s really about playing your opponent and less about playing against their character. It sounds funny to say but when you play the same people over and over again in tekken it becomes very personal you learn a lot about the way they play and think.

It should look decent upscaled then.

What a weird name change.. also the removal of "Looney Tunes" in the cover is baffling. many people are familiar with it, young and old it's so odd not to include it.. As if they did it deliberately and they didn't want the game to sell..

My favs are Marshall Law : the ultimate spam machine (with the flip kick, lol!)
