Hacking What is DVD5 and DVD9

I don't understand why they put DVD5 and DVD9 on list. Can you tell me why?

due to the size of the disc, a dvd 5 being a single layer and a dvd 9 being a dual layer. they are rounded off to that number because a dvd 5 holds 4.7 gigs of data and a dvd 9 holds 8.54
