deja vu is when you see the same topics posted on the forum, that already exist and no one uses the search

I read that it happens when you are sleepy or hungry... having something to do with what you are seeing gets to your mind before you can think about it. this way, the memory is already there and thing you think about what you see and there is a copy. your mind knows that the same thing cant happen twice, ever, so it... does something... weird...

So a few years ago I went to see a movie on opening day with my friends, I can't remember what the movie was anymore, but that's not important.

I'm watching the movie, and I could've sworn I had already seen it so I asked my friend next to me if this was a remake or based on a story or whatever and they said it wasn't. So I asked if they wouldn't mind spoilers and a bet of $50 that I knew exactly what happened for the rest of the movie to the smallest detail.

So the movie ended and I'm up $50. I paid for dinner for her because I'm not a jerk. [IMG]

This tells us one of 2 things.
    1) I had seen the movie somewhere before...somehow...
    2) Movies suck these days and are all rehashes.

It's weird how I know what people will say and do before they do them. Once or twice a year.

Yes it is! We need to unravel this!

Anyways, I hate Deja Vu, when I was little and I used to have it made me think I was some kind of hero. Now that I know everyone has them, it's not so cool anymore. [IMG]

I've never experienced this mystical deja vu. It's all in the head. Using past experiences and the brain, one creates the most logical outcome. We do this all the time. We are always calculating what might happen next subconsciously. So when one of these predictions happens to happen, it feels like we already did this somehow as we already subconsciously thought it up.

I had deja vu the other day.

I was riding the bus about a week ago, siting at the seat next to the back door (it has the most leg room) we stopped to turn into a road, and I was looking at the billboard across the street, then a truck drove past with a sandwich on the side, and it had like 6 pieces of ham inside it, each rolled up, so I was thinking, who makes their sandwich like that, and I bet if anyone actually does it will only be because of that truck's picture. So then I just watched it turn right at the next intersection and went back to looking at the billboard.
the next day the exact same thing happened.

I didn't even realize until it was allover, and it is pretty weird, it' like only having one memory for two seperate things

My God, the Matrix has the stupidest misinterpretation of the term "deja vu" I've ever seen.

"I saw a cat... and then I saw a cat again."
