Hi all, I'm new to GBATemp and Flashcarts in general (I picked up a used NDS Lite along with an R4i Gold to play Pokemon Gen IV-V).

I wanted to customize the UI for my card (running Wood R4 1.62) and came across sites such as ndsthemes and acekard (I've since learned that Wood uses acekard themes). Unfotunately both of these sites are either down (acekard Official website) or no longer host viable files (downloads from ndsthemes yield empty archives).

Are there any sites lieft with decent acekard themes? Or will I have to grab AKEdit and make my own?

Can we assume you know about the themes from r4ids.cn, who make R4 wood carts?

If you can't find the themes you want or there's a theme on one of the dead sites you really want, you can try viewing the sites through this archiver site which archives internet websites:

http://archive.org/web/

I was able to download themes from ndsthemes by using that "waybackmachine".

After inputting the URL of the site in question, select a year, and month/day from which the site was known to still be functional and download the themes you want. Not everything is guaranteed to be available and the search features will likely be broken. But it's the only alternative if there's a hard to find theme on one of those sites and this is the only way to get them. ;)

There was a Miku theme for WoodR4 I really wanted, and the one on ndsthemes website was the only one I liked. With that site I was able to download it. :D

It's working. I used just now (2017-Apr-03) https://web.archive.org/web/20160114141113/http://r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.htm (that's a snap shot from 14-Jan-2016) and could donload around half of the themes...
