Playing my own music selection for Excite Truck was awesome. Now, It seems like developers have totally abandon the idea of custom music and it's a shame. Games like: Madden, SSBB, Sonic tennis, Pro evolution soccer, and many more would be a lot more enjoyable with custom tunes.

excite truck and endless ocean are your only options.

why let you listen to your own music when developers (EA) can force you to listen to the same pop-crap on loop until you are brainwashed to buy it

Using the mpeg layer-3 codec can cause a real legal mess.
Also I doubt it's included or supported in the wii SDK. Oh you lazy devs!

I believe mp3 is an open codec but I don't know about commercial developmental rights. However I think new games might need to use aac codec do to the photo channel update. (now using Advanced Audio codec). Still It would be worth a couple bucks for developers to pay royalties if necessary.
