Truth be told all I want to see is a decent RPG, or at least something tha truly hooks me, with decent length to it, replay value, etc. Right now my 3DS is only used for 'burst' gaming. Short sessions every now and then. It needs a solid RPG that grabs me and doesn't let go. Right now it's struggling to justify the money I spent on it. I play Street Fighter and Ridge Racer, but I could have been doing much the same on my Xbox/PS3. Pilotwings and Samurai Warriors are kinda underwhelming once the novelty wears off. I need that 'Killer App'. A short list of what I'd settle for:
- A new Final Fantasy. Although if I have to sacrifice a new 3D FF game so they announce the PS3 remake of FF7 just to shut everyone up, I can live with that.
- New Starfox based on Starfox 64 but not ACTUALLY Star Fox 64. I'll be buying the remake, naturally, but we've not had a new game since Command, which took a step in the right direction by staying in the Arwing and having branching paths, but didn't have any real substance to it. Everything was so samey. Try again with more action and MUCH less Slippy based romance subplot. Seriously, I died a little inside at the thought of his genes not being utterly obliterated for the sake of the galaxy.
- A new Ace Combat game. Unlikely as Assault Horizon is still being worked on, but a man can dream.
- Something TOTALLY new. Seriously, it's a new generation. Blow me away with an amazing new IP already.
- A DECENT Sonic game.
- F-Zero or Metroid. Alarmingly absent recently. What gives with that? Incidentally, SAMUS MUST NOT SPEAK.
- A system update which replaces the crappy 3D movie we got with the last one with a 3D remake of Smooth Criminal. Seriously, it's the greatest music video ever made, in 3D it'd make your eyeballs orgasm. I'd settle for Thriller if the update hits on Halloween to scare the crap out of the kids.
