Well, I've got some money to blow, and I'm trying to decide what game I want to buy.

I'm not sure if I want a new game or an older one, what has been recently released that's pretty good? As far as what I'm already considering, I'm looking at Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Picross, Meteos, or Geometry wars... does anyone have any suggestions or comments on these?

Download them all.

Play them all for a while.

Decide which one you like the best.

Buy it.

Hard for us to decide for you, especially considering the variety of titles you have mentioned.

As far as downloading, illegality mostly.

Plus I haven't found a flashcart that I really like yet, plus I'd rather have a physical store to go buy it instead of ordering online

Download them, play them on the no$ emulator, pick the one you want to buy, then delete all the roms.

This is not a site to come to, when you have legal concerns

I haven't played the other two you mentioned, but Meteos and Picross get a worth-the-money thumbs-up from me.

It takes about half an hour to learn how to play Meteos (it's not complicated, just looks a bit fast when you start if you're not used to it) but once you get it it's addictive. Very addictive. It's also good in single-card download play against a friend, but can be a bit one-sided if you're playing against a complete beginner. One of the best things about this game are the sound effects, which are a work of art. There's several different gameplay modes, so it's a good title if you want a casual pick-up-and-play puzzler, with quest modes for times when you want something to work through properly.
Nintendo's Meteos Website

Avoid Disney Meteos though; it's okay, but the changes to gameplay and sound break the best bits of the first one.

If you know you like Picross puzzles, Picross DS will keep you quiet for hours. Obviously it's probably not as exciting as the other games but there's plenty of levels, they get more difficult as you go on, cleanly presented and the contols are okay. It will take a long time to complete, which makes it worth the money.

Haha, you think ROMs are legal?
Pfft.
Just because there's websites doesn't mean it's legal. For example, a website where you can download DVDs doesn't mean it's legal.
Same for ROMs.

There is child pornography on the internet. Therefore it is legal.

It's one of those things that's it's supposed to be illegal, and is, but nobody gives a shit. Plus, most retarded wigger middle schoolers limewire virus-ridden PM3's of soulja boi and 50-cent. And then there's the people who run torrent trackers and seed CP torrents. The government doesn't have the eye on warezer's.

I'm not saying it's right, just that it's commonplace and nobody cares :F

You might want to phrase that better... it looks like in your second paragraph you are continuing talking about child porn

But yes, I agree.
