What game is this?

It's a game that she played twice ... pre-Xbox, most likely Playstation.

Here is her description of the game:

"There is a green creature thing, sort of like a reptile, that you played. He had a little backpack thing on his back. You explore an outdoor environment, smashing boxes. At the end of the first level, you meet a boss that's like this big, wobbly, bird-thing -- that was yellow. And that's where I always died. You were supposed to run around him in circles and tire him out then punch him."

I have no idea what it is. She really wants to know so I can find it and she can beat it.

Any ideas? I'll continue Googling, but that's pretty much in vain.

Green reptile sounds like Gex maybe, but no backpack. Banjo has a backpack but isn't a green reptile.

I found some screens of Gex and she doesn't recognize it ... I'm gonna try to find the N64 version (as I have an N64) and go from there.

Anyone with any other suggestions?

There was a game called Chameleon Twist/2 on the N64.. that could be it. Also there was another game with a reptile on the N64.. not Gex. The name escapes me at the moment.
