Hardware What firmware can I expect from an imported AUS New 3DS?

I asked them directly, and I got a very unhelpful answer:

Please note that the system firmware is pre-installed by the publisher, we
unable to confirm the exact firmware but we assure you that it is the
official firmware.

I'm hoping they still have launch units available with 9.0 on them. I already bought a 9.0 unit from P-A in the beginning of this year, and just last week I helped a friend snag a 9.0 unit from Ebay.com.au, but I'd like to find another one for another friend. I don't want to order one/have someone else order one and be out of luck because the firmware isn't exploitable for region-free, region changing for a manual system transfer, and etc.

Has anyone on 'Temp ordered one recently? If so, what firmware did it come with?

unless it is a returned product, very likely to be 9.2 or below. As always this is not 100%

American n3DSs cannot be below 9.5, by the way.
Black n3DSs are pretty much guaranteed to be 9.0 - 9.2 at this point.
9.0 - 9.2 White n3DSs are harder to come by. See if you can return it if it's above 9.2, or at least sell it Used somewhere.

Ask them if they can give you the first 7 letters in the serial number of the New 3DS. You can check this site https://gbatemp.net/threads/n3ds-xl-firmware-by-version-number.381479/ to see what firmware it is.
Most of the n3DSs are on firmwares higher than 9.2, so it might be good to check different places to get what you're looking for.
