Due to a hard drive failure, I was forced to replace my PS3 HDD and start fresh. Fortunately, I still have the original HDD, and the eid root key to recover its data. Can anyone tell me what I can bring forward to the new install? I have my games and important files. How about savegames? Installed titles that I no longer have the pkg files for? Will the new PS3 just lock me out of copying those?

Some files that might be useful are all the games, which can save you time that you would need to download them. Savegames would depend if you plan on finishing them. You will probably have to manually move games and saves over. Games will have to go into dev_hdd0/game, and Savegames will go to dev_hdd0/home/xxxxxxxx/savedata, but you will first have to use this:http://digiex.net/downloads/downloa...ps3-bruteforce-save-data-v4-4-2-download.html, or you will have to go into debug settings on the Ps3 that you will use any save file without it being denied from the game.
