For the last several years now I have listened to just about everything that is not a song (though a few of those too) at two times normal speed (can fit far more content in that way -- 3 hour podcast now takes an hour and a half, 40 minutes now takes 20... twice the fun or half the time needed).
Yep, that's basic maths.
It has seemingly then had an impact on my general speech patterns much like people will slowly adopt accents when staying somewhere different for a prolonged period, or maybe those of a newer group (stick around rich people and you will speak like one eventually).
Same happens here, stick around with nacos and you'll soon start talking like one.
Certainly I have been accused of being more incomprehensible than usual even by people that know me well and have got used to my normal levels of incomprehensibility (I have never had good hearing which in turn means I am rather flat and monotone, and more generally have never been forceful in my voice).
Funny enough, I find your accent or any british accent comprehensible... actually very comprehensable if I might say.
Actually couldn't help but notice you're kinda forcing the last syllable on each sentence. Understandable as I'm guessing you were proclaiming that from memory? So maybe... you were making some grins while remembering those words?
As far as sounding like p1ngpong then he has far more in the way of London terms and intonation when he and I were speaking (he and I both were both among those that went to the Switch launch event), even more so if you go for general conversation rather than presumably the poetry thing above from me and either the recent ask questions or older Switch event thing from young p1ngpong.
Sounds NOT EXACTLY but kinda like him.
Guess it's just the natural accent/voice there. You know... most of the guys here talks the same, they even have the same voice pitch.
Must be cultural.
If you are more used to Americans then I can see you thinking that way though (neither of us have particularly strong regional accents and drift more towards the general southern England melange that cropped up in place of the serious regional stuff discussed in the other thread).
I might add that no, I'm not used to Americans. (at least not as much as I'd like to admit / not as much as I belive I am)
Even though almost all media that's being shoved up the TV comes from USA I'm someone who doesn't watch TV let alone american shows (other than Beavis and Butthead / Daria / Celebrity Death Match and old Disney / Nick stuff)
I'm more used hearing female's voice as I find female singers very pleasant to hear. The only american accent I've had close contact with is the Backstreet Boys, Nsync and Westlife, occasional 90's music different than POP, but most of the times I prefer listening and hearing / watching females.

FOR THE RECORD: Here's a small example of someone being a NACO.
NACO is a despective word used by most mexicans to refer to people that's low-educated, low-manered, or people that acts against what should be considered normal social behaviour.
Sometimes you can guess if you're about to get mugged when a person like this, talking like this comes near you.
Even if you don't see him carrying a gun, most of the criminals talks and looks like this.
