Homebrew What do you think of obtaining a second 3DS(N3DS to be exact) to have primarily for homebrew?

I currently have an Old 3DSXL(which is a replacement for my N3DSXL due to it having a failing touch screen) that is on FW 11.5 with at least several physical game carts. I am thinking of getting hopefully either a standard-size N3DS(either as part of an as of yet unopened AC Happy home designer bundle. or via the slightly more recent Super Mario bundle. If that is not ultimately feasible, I'll try getting a used "New" 3DSXL instead. I am choosing between one out of these two choices as something to get by the end of this year in order to get back onboard with pre-11.4 or pre-11.3 Firmware. Why? Because in many cases certain older firmwares have better hackability/more access to both primary and secondary exploits such as soundhax, genhax, basehax, Ninjahax 1.1b, Beaconhax, Menuhax, irnohax, browserhax, painthax, oot3dhax, and BASICSPLOIT. In addition to this, 3DS systems with FW versions ranging, from say 6.3-11.0 have access to a wider ranger of Custom FW types, such as SaltFW, and earlier versions of Corbenik and Luma3DS(especially the latter, which had support for BOTH a9lh AND b9s up until Luma 7.0.5). Whatever pre-11.4 or pre-11.3 firmware it has with it, I will likely not update, nor use Miiverse on it, as most Nintendo system version update in the past several or so months involve closing up/patching exploits, typical of a comapny that as gone DMCA junkie. Things such as Miiverse and e-shop interactions(at least directly) will be done the O3DSXL.

A source of cheap n3DS is looking on ebay for n3DS LL. Loads of japophiles get them to play some region specific game like MHXX and then either give up or sell it cheap.

Do a CTtransfer region change and profit.

Other reasons for me preferring to get a standard N3DS over the XL variant, if possible, is the non-XL variant's ability to have removable face-plates. Not to mention you don't need as much pocket space to carry it.

people sell their stuff and their children's stuff for drug money, so it's pretty cheap

I think it's unnecessary because unlike vita/ps3, others, there isn't so much worry about being hacked and using backups/homebrew.

I already have one New 3DS XL for all my main purposes. I'm thinking about getting an original 3DS for nostalgia and for multiplayer test purposes.

I got a n3DS XL for $91 USD. I got it to used n3DS emulators, and to do multiplayer with my o2DS.
