    I'm actually not going to vote because the voting options are bias and half of them are totally unrelated to the topic.

    This thread should also be locked for that reason alone. or if you can change the voting options to something on-topic and non-bias, do so.

    and I'm not trying to flame or anything thats just my opinian sorry if it offends you in any way.

    Only one analog stick and looks like SHIT. It should be a prototype and without a UMD drive sales will go down as many people do not have a connection good enough for downloading games all the time.

    the poll options were too way off but i will answer and say tht it is looking very nice but it's nothing special (though the sliding stuff is good)... analog not a good idea.... buttons too close like the ds (which i find annoying)...sound i think the previous model had better sound
    overall... better than the previous 3000 model but like the ds... nothing too special from the DSl is the DSi and so it goes for this one
    though let me make myself clear... i would want it though

    Bias Poll options changed [IMG]

    I think that this will shuv the PSP 2000/3000 off the shelves eventually like Nintendo allready told gamestop that they will not recieve any more DS Lites...

    they said its a "STRATEGY to keep the PSP 3000/2000 on the market"

    PLAN = PERMENANT.

    STRATEGY = CAN POSSIBLY CHANGE.

    we will see...

    It was locked because your topic was the last of the three, so in essence you were re-posting old news. You should have just added to the existing topics.

    Any any game over 500Mb in size is going to be beyond me and possibly others so eliminating physical media altogether is reducing your potential market.

    true very true..but sony has done some VERY rash things

    like REMOVING the PS2 COmpatibility on the PS3 when it ORIGINALLY was...

    if they did that....they would do this in a blink of an eye...

    look at UMD'less patapon 2.

    If it's unhackable, it would useless to me. But I never got into the PSP anyway, so it's all moot. It's also a burn for anyone who owns an older PSP since it has no UMD and all their games and movies are useless on it. Sure, they may offer some sort of way to make it where you can convert the UMD game to work on this new PSP, but I'll bet it won't be free to convert them.

    I think Sony is fighting a losing battle after they were thrashed mercilessly by Nintendo, not only in portable gaming but also current generation consoles.

    I think the PSP GO will be met with a collective yawn from all few stragglers who wish to impress their buddies with the newest neat-o chip technology and super-bling graphics. Nevermind that the most innovative game they will ever deliver is bust-a-move part 29 or Call of Brothers in Arms: Recycled Theatre.

    It is laughable to see Sony get Pwnt! like the punks that they are because of all the crap they pulled with DRM, rootkits, proprietary formats and each continued middle finger they show to the consumer.

    I look forward to seeing the GO! in the clearance rack at Target where mom's try to convince their kids that they want it because it's 30% off and the kids are all "Meh. Get me a pack of Naruto cards instead"

    Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot - even regular PSP hasn't had a decent release in over a year. And knowing Sony, these things will probably be marked at $350 or so. This is the High Priest of fail.

    Sony is like Morshu in the CD-I Zelda games, they want every last cent.

    It could be worse, you're all waiting for the US/Europe release save for the users from Asia. The curious importers such as me will be paying a little over 500 bucks for this to import it. I haven't seen many good PSP releases that aren't Japan only except for a lot of the RPGs.

    it's a step in the right direction - but i do feel it was an opportunity missed in not including a touch screen and 2nd anologue pad. It would be the dream handheld with those features, but in fairness to Sony i guess they still wanted to support the older models (avoid some of the mistakes of sega) and didn't want to make a complete replacement with only publishers only making games which required the features of the new Go.

    For sony this is going to be a test for downloading as the new way of distributing/selling their top tier games. I've long been predicting that within 2 console generations the game shops will go bust with online distribution.

    The biggest hangup I see, and something their keynote will presumably deal expound on, is how they're going to get every game digitally distributed. This goes for both new games going forward, and the sizable library of old games. If you can't get most 3rd party published games for the PSP Go, it may have a hard time taking off.

    Not having a umd drive is a hung mistake. people like me without a wireless internet connection will have no ways to get games. Even if they make a way to get them off a wired internet and transfer them via usb, some people still have slow Internet or no Internet at all. And people with a massive amount of umds will have wasted 100s of dollars. And you will have to buy big memory sticks to hold games after the internal hardrive fills up.

    personally I am glad to see the UMD go. It was fragile, energy sucking, slow, and pretty annoying to use.
