on ur ipod touch/iphone/ipad go to

    www.jailbreakme.com

    swipe to jailbreak..... done

it was released the other day and by far the easiest, will probably be fixed for iOS 4.1

The post above is only if you have 3.2 or more. If you have 3.2 and under, you can use Spirit, although that requires an older version of itunes. It can be hard depending on what you use to jailbreak. Spirit and Jailbreakme are very simple. The other exploits are a little bit harder to use.

if u havent got an ipad, iphone 4 or 3GS i suggest 3.1.2 because...

    1. more compatbilty with cydia apps
    2. ive heard of performance issues with an iphone 3g on 4.0

ive had problems before but nothing major, just trying to downgrade. saurik's SHSH files are a real help.

if you want to update you'l need to wait until its safe to do so as you need to restore and may lose the ability to unlock your phone (if you are interested). or be stuck on a certain firmware unjailbroken.

    geohot will be missed
