I haven't been drunk in a looong looong time but I know that I won't turn violent when I've been drinking.
People that turn violent when drunk shouldn't be drinking in the first place.

not quite right (atleast in germany) but the law is a bit more complicated here. Soft alcoholic drinks (Beer and whine) are for age 16 and the hard ones (example Vodka or Whiskey) are age 18

I know. That's why I said in Europe doesn't matter since I lived in Portugal but in America it does matter because it is against the law, I don't understand. Maybe irresponsible, obviously. Only 21 is allowed here.

I haven't been drunk in a few years now and I honestly hated getting drunk when I did. I don't really see the appeal to getting drunk.

Rarely drink alcohol now. It doesn't make a good mixture with the drugs the psychiatrist prescribes.
This year I only used ethanol two or three times to temporarily lessen the tremor when I had to solder something (and one other time). Since being drunk and using a hot soldering iron don't go together well, the amount I may drink is very, very limited.

That said, I know from past occasions, that I stop thinking so much under influence of alchohol, feel pretty good and enjoy playing Luigi's Mansion on GameCube

I've just got drunk twice. I don't drink that much, and getting drunk isn't fun to me.

Drinking to me is about enjoying a meal/drink, or a celebration.
