Cleared the third dungeon (the one inside the fish), got the third shiny thing

Apparently I'm also now engaged to the snarky annoying fish princess 🤷

Played this game on my hacked PS4 and I was pleasantly surprised that it's a really good Virtual Racing-inspired arcade racer, so despite having it for free I'll be buying it to support the devs.

The game definitely needs an update to make it quicker to reach menus and change the UI of the rewards, etc. Nothing that's a deal-breaker though it helps.

Started the Story Mode of Need for Speed: Underground on my PS4 and the game is still superb. Plus, it has a wide-screen patch so it's not stuck in 4:3.

NFS Underground 2 is technically better, it has better graphics and open world, but I've always preferred the first.

Why do I play old games on my PS4 when I've installed brand new ones... Oh, they're just way more fun.

I've been playing NFS U1 lately and am almost done, only have about 6-7 races left, but the endurance races with 6/7 laps makes you work to reach the end than purely enjoy it as a game. I had to restart those darn stages so many times as I kept losing. 😑 Even in "Easy" it's still very challenging

If EA remade/remastered this game you bet they'd baby-fy these stages as they'd be "too hard" for newer generations and gaming journos.

Chapter 3 of The Order 1886.

It's graphically impressive, but other than that you shoot stuff, QTE, and move around so nothing too special. It feels more like an interactive movie than a game and I like that.

How long did it take? I see there are 16 chapters, yet the game usually offers a mere 7 hours of playtime. Sounds like you went through 1 to 2 hours of that game. I see how it can be an accomplishment to play so far before getting bored by the gameplay.

So, for anyone thinking about playing it, I recommend this:
The Order 1886 with the last bits of gameplay removed

The chapters do feel relatively short so that's probably true. Still, it's a fun game to go through as it's a PS4 exclusive.

P.S. There's a full screen patch so you can see more of the picture than the top/bottom being black bars.

3:08 Chapter 6 of Order 1886. I can't get through this annoying QTE scene despite how fast I spam the button.

Tried so many times now. 😑

I loved completing Need for Speed: Underground, so I thought I'd play Underground 2...

Graphically, it's an upgrade, but the open world gimmick and can't use the right trigger to accelerate (NFS:U1 allows it) just sort of made me give up on it. I'll take U1 over U2 any day.

Never really played the Underground game on PSP though it seems to be pretty good.

I just got around to finish it today and I really enjoyed it, but
I kinda wish Lucan had lived despite being a monster.

The Order 1886 is a must play for PS4 owners, especially PS4 Pro users and use the full screen patch as it sure looks way nicer without the black borders. Just keep in mind, there was a QTE scene which I couldn't get through using the full screen patch so I had to use the original and then I got through it.

Sure would be nice to see The Order 1886: Part II although I doubt it, PS5 hardly has any exclusives, Sony doesn't seem interested, and PS6 may not be far now (not that it matters too much as PS5 feels so dry in terms of games, IMO).

Just finished playing the quite short but hilarious Thank Goodness You're Here! Absolutely loved it... Full of fantastic Carry On... / Monty Python/ Viz British humour, you will get a real kick out of it!

The legend that is Matt Berry is one of the voice actors so you know it's gotta be funny! Definitely recommend.
