I always end up out of a job at XMAS.

Somehow. 3 years in a row now....

Anyway I am making my mom a cutting board with magnets in it to hold her treasured knives. (every time she finds one in the dishwasher she FREAKS OUT and lets everyone know how they need to be hand washed bla bla bla.)

So what can I make my dad?

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    -Under $15.00
-Must have an actual use, I hate useless decorations.
    -Can be made before XMAS.
    -Parts can be bought locally.

    and.....

    GO!

I made my grandma a bird house when I was 10 (not a crappy one made out of paper, a real one) Along with a bird feeder.

Also do you know what a dishwasher does to knives? It destroys them so I really do not blame your mom.

Personally, when I used to run a kitchen, if I found my knives in the dishwasher I'd gut whoever was on duty.

Give us more info on your dad? What's he like? Any interests? And what skills do you have? Are you good with tools? Good at metal work/wood work?

Well I am looking for something simple I can make with hot glue and a soldering iron in my bedroom.

He likes video games but who doesn't?

Make him a grandfather. Nothing says happy holidays like, "Dad I knocked this girl up... Merry Christmas!" If you have a girlfriend you two can split the expense and make it a present for her parents too. If not you could always go the filthy-whore route. You might even end up with an extra present under the tree for yourself. Christmas STDs anyone?

    Your Welcome.

I love this mans idea!!! If I had the money to do so I would totally get this for my mommy!!! The sad thing is however children are extremely expensive. Especially my child because I have some ideas up my sleeves but I shall wait till we can afford to put my idea into motion so maybe a few more years.

Something that'll organize all his remotes/gadgets next to his favorite chair? Better yet buy and program a Universal remote for him.

Give him an "IOU" coupon for Father-son time or events, like fishing ticket to a sports event at a local school.

Wash his car for him and do the tires with care and RainX on the windshield...
    Birdhouse/feeder
    Shelf
gift card to his favorite restaurant

A bumper sticker, T-shirt or jacket that he'd appreciate.
My dad wears caps a lot.
