Hacking What can i do with a first generation vita on 3.57?

I'm mostly interested in playing psp backups, my old psp broke after many years and i'm looking for a replacement.

Nothing at the moment. 3.57 patched a lot of PSP-mode stuff, including stopping people from installing and opening emulator Custom Firmware such as TN-V and ARK. Basically, you're screwed for the time being.

I'd go with sell it and get a Vita on lower firmware, personally. Easy and cheap enough to do, just sit on eBay for an hour and fire off a bunch of messages to a dozen sellers asking which version it's on and ask them politely not to update it. I've got a couple of Vitas this way.
