The problem with my school is that once a week, you have to do runs around the school track. Which is huge. And all the boys have to get a certain time or better, and all the girls have to get a certain time or better, no matter how good you are. I SUCK at anything physical, and we still have to try our best to make the runs, but since I'm terrible, I have bad PE grades. Recently I nearly made a run, but pretty much killed myself in the process, and walking was actually painful for a bit afterwards.

Because I'm a German citizen and speak German, I can go to college in Germany, and it's completely free. All colleges (not including rare private ones) are free there for a citizen, and that's where I plan to go.

I hated everything in grade school/high school. Whether it would be the students, teachers, or the curriculum taught at the schools, I didn't like any of it at all. I am glad I'm attending college now; the only thing I complain about college is the amount of school work and studying needed to be done.

I just hated having to take classes where 90% of the knowledge I gain will never be used and will end up being forgotten. Which happens to be most of them, actually. Maybe some good does come out of it, it probably does help keep my brain sharp, and I understand that that early on they can't expect people to know what they want to do later on in life so they have to teach people a little of everything, but couldn't they focus more on what people are most likely to use later in life?
Language and to some degree maths are a given of course, those are things you use all the time, but most of the other classes seemed like a waste of time to me.

You said you were at university. What are you currently taking and how do you think it could be improved?

I'm studying master of science in pharmacy, what I really believe that could be improved is having a much higher focus on creative thinking, that includes most of the subjects I've studied so far (Chemistry and Pharmacology mostly, have had quite alot of cell biology but that area is an area that focused more on facts and such, information that is more an observational science, atleast at the level we studied it.) I would like a larger focus on understanding things, and by that understanding relationships and why "x" happens. For instance, if you would have a drug molecule, it will be metabolised by the body in x way, now you could just memorize it and pass the exam and forever forget it, but then you havn't learnd a bit.. What I prefer is "Okay this molecule is metabolised in this way because of it's structure", and by understanding that you could see another molecule and actually predict how it's metabolism would look like. By that you've actually started to understand the subject.

As a conclusion, it is kinda hard to get it down in words, and formulate it good in English, I really encourage that school should be about understanding concepts, not learning facts. Facts can be searched for online quickly, an understanding of the subject can't.

My other complaint is that most states in schools are learning foreign language: What ?? High percent is Spanish and 2nd is French. SMH.

Portuguese classes: Where ?? In Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and most in Canada.

They really waste my time, here in the Netherlands you must go to school till you are 18 years old.
Becease I have trouble to learn new things(done by brain damage by birth), i'm glad they teach me how to read and write, but the rest I learn by my self (like English).
The last 2 years on school, I was more busy with selling pirate psx games and fucking around with the girls then about learning.

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction

    Just kiss me Kyle.
  • x65943 @ x65943:
You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
