Gaming what best nds fps?

i want to know what every ones favorite fps is, maybe even make a list! just discuss fps for the nds here, i dont care, just do!!!

First of, welcome ! It's always nice to see newcomers.

Second, sadly there are only a bunch FPS's on the DS currently like:

Metroid Prime: Hunters
Call of Duty 4
Dementium the Ward
Golden Eye - Roughe Agent

and some which will come out like:

Moon
Call of Duty 5

Thats about it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The DS is really lacking in DS First Person Shooters, but I really want to play Metroid Prime Hunters and I am about to try out Golden Rogue Agent.

Well, everyone has pretty much already hit the best ones. In fact, Metroid is the oldest of the bunch, and might be the best. COD 4 and Dementium are both very good as well. It's a shame that over the last 3 years, there haven't been more really good fps games developed.

Moon, from the same developers as Dementium, is supposed to be really good. It comes out later in the year.

Unfortunately the DS doesn't offer a really good control method for fps games.

For the best FPS's, you're gonna have to turn to homebrews/ports

Check out QuakeDS and DSDoom or whatever they call it.
Those are classic shooters that are great once you set the controls properly.

but now to being serious - MP:H is awesome, CoD4 is okay, and so is Dementium - though it has no multiplayer.


I'm waiting for C.O.R.E. to come out here, hopefully that is good.

Have you ever gone a while without playing a great game, not for any particular reason, but it just sorta happens? Then, you see it on your cart or hear someone else talk about it, so you decide to play it again. Then, once you play it again, you think "man, I had almost forgot how awesome this game is!" That's how I am feeling right now about Metroid PH. I mean, this is really one of the top 10 games on the DS of any genre, even after all these years. I played 4 person multiplay last night with the munchkins and we had a blast. It just baffles me how no developer can top Metroid with a better fps after all this time. It truly maximizes the DS hardware and software, and the controls are both accurate and efficient.

yep i also agree with: metriod prime-hunters (best fps, awesome single player, and best wifi)
call of duty 4 (if they fixed sum balancing issues, and glitches, it would be the best fps by far)
dementium- the ward (try playing it in the dark with headphones, its jokes lol)

I've had a few over time, but just kept two. I had/have Metroid, Dementium, Call of Duty4, and Brothers in Arms. The first one was shallow with poor 1P mode design and the bosses were just ugh...it's toast (still have the demo though.) Dementium was while pretty also pretty boring and the save system left much to be desired so it's gone too. Call of Duty 4 and BiA though I have kept. Those have top notch control, great level design, excellent use of 3D including destructable environments, great audio...overall top notch package if anything just missing online MP gaming for those who are into it.

Oh yah (edit here) also did find some years ago Goldeneye Rogue Agent for a few bucks...sadly it's not even worth a few bucks. I think the game would be worth more to pick crap out of your teeth with while using the box art and manual as shit wipes, while saving the case for a good game if any of your cases ever get messed up. That right there is about the total value of that pile of crap...spare box.

Cod 4 is my favourite FPS and metriod is probably the best FPS the NDS has to offer. Never tried brothers in arms and i'm starting to get sick of WWII shooters. Yeah medal of honour was great on PS1 but come on, there are where more conflicts in the past then just WWII.

I would recommend Dementium to anyone who is up for a bit of a scare. I love survival horror (specially Resi!) and i never knew that a game on a small screen would shake me up

It was so crap i forgot what it was called. It's like house of the dead for DS, I think it's called Touch The Dead? And no, it's not some f'ed up porno

Metroid is the best. It actually has some real multiplayer action and originality out of the others on DS.

I prefer CoD 4 over MP: H. But i don't play a lot of FPS on my DS, because i prefer other games. But i fount that CoD 4 is a very good game.

I don't know the name off the top of my head... but that game was crap. Don't play it
