Like what the title states, for those interested, what makes you want to get this console? Personally, I would want it cuz of games and that sexy duo-analog support in FPSes. As the OP, I won't vote for myself.

Note though, no flaring and comparing companies. Also no 'I gave up on Nintendo' or 'MS don't make portables' that kind of stuff.
Well, I figured that at points we might condemn, but still I do not want tempers to end up in conflict.

    Vote! and thanks. [IMG]

Definitely games. That's what most people aim for when buying a gaming device, right?

And that is also why this poll has multiple choice. [IMG]

    Oh... THAT.

I'm sorry, that time I was an immature Nintendo fanboy.

Nintendo really dissed me off until I 99% (I won't say entirely) give up on them.

    3. Games, if anything I like the PSP library better than the ds library, going by that, this thing have to have nice games right?

That Gravity game looks unique, so I want to see if it's as fun as it looks.

The only reason I'd EVER by a psp thingy is monster hunter (3rd)...
but as I live in The Netherlands,... I'll probably have no luck with that...

    A few things.

First off, games of course. Of the announced titles so far, it seems like fun, and if it follows a library similar to the PSP's then I'm more than game.

Second off, I really think the new PSP backwards compatibility is good. I can see myself buying the console and spending $10 on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and playing it with dual analog glory. It'd be really nice to see all the past PSP titles that had issues with lacking a second analog stick to be playable the way they should be on the Vita.

I'd be lying if I said that having something with incredibly pretty games in the palm of your hands doesn't entice me as well.

I of course will always want a console for the next gen and a handheld for the next gen, and between the Vita and the 3DS, the Vita seems like a no-brainer to me, between pricing, features, and launch line-up.

    1 and 2.
though for the battery, as long as it won't go below 4 hours maximum brightness. but better battery is always preferable.

Er, Guild. One question with regards to the bold portion. How about the graphics? PSP or upscaled?

Hopefully battery is okay. But to someone like me, the 3DS's mediocre battery is way enough for me already.

What do ya mean? I thought I heard reports that PSP titles would also be getting upscaled for the Vita, if that's what you mean. It's not as big of a concern or want as having dual analog support for a lot of games.

Well, I was wondering whether PSP games would play with native PSP res. or upscaled qHD* vita resolution.

Duo-analog support for that game is simply awesome!

*I just used this term as it's quite close to the vita's resolution count.

    +1

Seriously if no solid plans for a main pokemon franchise on the 3DS, I'll sell it.

Not that I hate the 3D that much, but Nintendo seriously has disappointed me enough with their outdated online and lame excuses.

    Mainly because...

    1) Price. You can't beat that. The 3DS easily needs a price drop.
    2) Graphics. Don't go and call me a graphics whore, but I'd like to be able to take those types of visuals wherever I go, and not just strapped to my TV.
    3) Form factor. I don't know if many people are talking about it, but the Vita's form factor looks pretty amazing. Also, grips = awesome.
    4) Games. The 3DS has a great library of games coming out, and so does the Vita. I'm getting both to enjoy the "best of both worlds", as they say.

Dual Analogs and touch screen. Now it can have the same games as the DS, the iPhone and the PSP. Variety is the spice of life.
