Murs, Jurassic 5, Deltron, Charlie Hunter, Abdominal, Aphex Twin, DJ Phresh, Mr. Lif, Oingo Boingo, Hieroglyphics, The Mars Volta, and Ugly Duckling, among many others.

If you're going to 'obtain' any of this music, start with Emergency Rations (Mr. Lif, Hip-Hop), Baboon Strength (Charlie Hunter, Jazz), or Escape from the Pigeon Hole (Abdominal, Hip-Hop).

Yeah I can't stand to listen to the same genre over and over again - it just makes me hate the bands. Even in the genres I love the most it makes you realise how unoriginal 99% of bands are - just blatently copying each other.

I listen to the all artists I listed every week, with lots of different stuff mixed in too

I have a few fave-fave genres - I started off as a child being dragged around by my much older aunt (who was a first wave british punk) and her friends, as I got older I became interested in anarcho and crust punk and goth. By the later 80's I was also listening to a little heavy metal and then baggy/madchester.

The punk and goth were my most listened to genres until about 7-8 years ago when I started to listen to psy-trance and EBM/dark-electro/industrial - nowadays the EBM is what I listen to most, along with a healthy dose of anarcho-punk.

My partner listens to lots of deathrock/horrorpunk/psycho&gothabilly too, which works its way into my head =]

If someone forced me to only listen to one genre for the rest of my life I'd have to choose to not listen to anything. :>

I don't have certain artists that I would recommend. But, I do love listening to R&B in general. Slow to fast, to chilled R&B is what I like. Lyrics where I can relate to, as in relationships and stuff. Some recommendations though.. hmm:

Stevie Hoang
Danny Fernandes
Omarion

I got a lot of artists.. but only a few songs from each of them to make up a whole list. If you're into R&B, just ask for recommendations of songs instead.

Lately I've been fucking addicted to DJ Sharpnel. Some brilliant tunes there

But I mostly listen to my iPod, and as it's a 2nd gen Touch I can't jailbreak it to put the scrobbling app on

fantastic list from ramboz too, a good 90% of which I listen to very regularly.

Good to see people listening to Julian Cope/TDE and Carl McCoy/Nephilim too, both people I know personally and who put a lot into their music. (along with two from my list - Poisoned Elecky Head and The Loungs).

And How could I forget Half Man Half Biscuit? I actually puked on the shoes of one of them (I think it was simon) a long long time ago, when I went "over the water" for a gig. =]

These are the artists I have more than like 3 songs from: Daft Punk, Kanye West, Rammstein, and "Weird Al" Yankovic. Although I do have a lot of other music from other artists, it is usually just 1 or 2 songs.
