I don't personally have a favorite yet. I'm still experimenting! I want to know what you guys think! I've tried getting Arch, but I'm still having problems installing it lol

Kali Linux, its an Ubuntu based distribution designed to test system vulnerabilities or exploit them depending which side of the coin you believe in

Mint (mainly with the XFCE interface) as it's simple, robust, and lightweight. If you just want a well rounded user-friendly experience, it works well.

I absolutely adore Linux Mint. I love how it's lightweight and that you can make it a powerhouse if you spend some time messing with the kernel

I run Xubuntu, personally. The resident Linux-expert at work (and I do not use that term lightly; all of us engineers are quite linux-proficient) also uses Xubuntu.

I've considered trying it before! I think I'll test it out on a virtualbox. I've heard some really good things about it. I've never really been a big fan of Kubuntu considering that it can be quite a pain to deal with. I feel like there are several issues in it, unlike Xubuntu

I loved Ubuntu Mate once upon a time until I was introduced to Linux Mint. Ubuntu Mate is great for those who love the customization and simplicity. Mate is a lot better than the regular Ubuntu distro in my opinion.

I mostly needed something that works, nothing fancy and all that. that's why I used Xubuntu, and later Ubuntu Mate. I played with Linux Mint and actually got my mom to use it on her old laptop which was starting to run Vista slowly. I never really liked using it myself though.

now that I've pretty much moved on to [Mac] OS X for a third time I'm probably going to use Debian in a virtual machine more.

Same here. My main OS is OS X. The biggest problem with OS X, to me, is that customization is horrible. That goes for any Apple device as well. The Apple users requested more customization and what did we get? A dark toolbar -.-
The only reason I use OS X now is because it's fast and lasts for a long time

I hardly ever played with customization, so the fact that OS X doesn't have much of it doesn't really bother me. in fact having something that doesn't require much customization is a good thing to me, for my own personal use because I don't have to think too much about it. similar to how I usually use defaults on other platforms (i.e. default/basic 3DS theme all the time) :P

I use Lubuntu on every computer we have, except my main one has Windows 10. Lubuntu's great, the UI is a lot like Windows' very own, light-weight distro and easy to use even for newcomers. Before Lubuntu, I'd use Elementary due to the coolish Mac look but it felt like it was somewhat heavy on the machines I'd use so I ditched it.

Yeah, Elementary was pretty heavy on my Mac so I ditched it as well. Fedora was the same way. I haven't tried Lubuntu yet. It's on my list, though.

    I wasn't a fan of KDE.

Oh, one thing to mention with XFCE, is that, at least with an older version of it, there was a bug that resulted in screen tearing, particularly with nVidia cards. I compiled and installed a newer version of XFCE and it improved things.

Could you give a reason(s) as to why?

Aside from being heavy the programs didn't seem to function "normal" like they would on a different OS/Distro but I assume this was due to the distro demanding too much of the computer.

Most distros have exactly that too, unless you fancy the Mac-ish look it has.

The title say: What are your guys' favorite Linux Distros?

Well, I used Kubuntu, Linux mint, Fedora, Ubuntu 15.04 and Elementary, but the last one is my favorite, do I need any more reasons?
