Someone told me the PSP actually emulates most games better than the vita does, but iv'e tried retroarch and snex9xTLYmecm 0.4.2? both seemed slow as hell and GPSP ran GBA games like absolute crap, i'm not familiar with the PSP scene in terms of emulation so what would be the best genesis/snes and gba emulators?

Well, I don't know if this is absolute, but I do have emulators on my vita that i use with adrenaline since all vita emu is basically retroarch. I prefer the standalone emulators, here is a list of what I use since it works for me.

Emu master (Master boy) 3.00

I don't know the real name of this one, but it emulates Gameboy color, Sega master system and game gear roms. The FM sound is not emulated for master system though.

unofficial GPSP Kai 3.4

It plays GBA roms ONLY. (Nothing else) There is various versions of this and this is the one that i use, it works well enough but maybe not enough for everyone. Some have different features so is hard to find a fitting one. Usually just find one that works for my system. (Note that while this can load zip compressed roms, bigger ones going higher than 8MB might not load when compressed into zip)

NesterJ (1.13 beta 2) / (AoEX R3)

It has some screen tearing on my system but it works well enough to play games from start to finish.

PCE for PSP 0.83 ME

A Turbo Graphix 16/CD engine emulator. Honestly I haven't even tried the CD function and i only tried one game since I don't know any worth while games to play on this system. (I never owned one growing up so I have no memories with it.)

Pico Drive 1.51

A Megadrive / Mega CD emulator that works well enough. It does not play 32X, Master system or game gear. It has good performance and compatibility with official roms, but some homebrew or rom hacks may not work like Genesis plus. (Genesis plus is probably the best for compatibility with all roms including rom hacks and homebrew like Pier solar. Probably the only known emulator to even play that rom)

I don't have info on snes emulation, most of the ones I tried aren't very good so I don't know what to say about it. If anyone else can help, then that's good. If you're using a vita, you should be able to find some of these emulators and ones I didn't list with the psp homebrew browser app. As for GBA, there is mGBA for vita which is a single app not part of retroarch that works well enough but it doesn't have features like cheat codes.

First of all, the retroarch for the PSP is horrible, so I hope that the Vita version is better.

For SNES you should use the snex9xTLYmecm mod, the newest one but there are 2 options, for the PSP you should use the me version since it uses the Media Engine which is the second processor of the system which Vita does not have, so for Vita you can only use the cm version which is slower than the other version since it does not uses the Media Engine.

And for the GBA you have 3 options: Uo gpsp kai which is good and have fullscreen option, gpsp-j which is better but does not have fullscreen and does not have the cheat option but you can check if the game uses 1M saves, and you can have the TempGBA which is the most advanced emulator with better compatibility and emulates problematic games better than any other (Kingdom Hearts, GTA, Teen Titans, etc) but it does not have fullscreen but it does have cheat.
